Competed in an international business proposal event together with my partner, Rohit, through district, state, and international qualifications. Our business was a plastic recycler in Brazil taking advantage of state-of-the-art optical sorters, and novel pyrolysis-based recycling rather than traditional shredding-based methods which degrade plastic. We forecasted financial returns, investigated different methods of sourcing capital, and thouroughly ensured the financial safety of our venture. After everything we placed fourth out of over 200 teams at the international competition (ICDC). View the full paper!

Invasive Chinese Tallow species plague Texas woodland areas, and a big problem is that they produce 3,000,000 seeds per year upon reaching maturity; the problem is they reach maturity in just three years! Additionally manual tree removal is exceedingly difficult, making chemical herbicides neccessary. Luckily, taking advantage of the fact that they grow on the edge of woodlots, we found a drone could be used to cover large amount distance of trees and using object detection actually pinpoint a tree and fire a small paintball filled with the herbicide Triclopyr at the tree (preventing wide damage to surrounding plants), then mark its location for later re-application, and then continue onwards.
